Ned (Liev Schreiber) is currently in the throes of a mid life crisis. His job as a writer on an TV series that is semi-pornographic is satisfying. His fifteen year is fearful of, well pretty much everything. When his wifeJeannie (Helen Hunt), moves her ailing and embittered father (Brian Dennehy) from Detroit in their home in NY, it places additional strain on an already strained union.
