Splash!
Splash! Is possible tv series that follows celebrities as they try to master the craft of diving. The actors play every week in front of a board of judges and a live crowd in a Olympic-size diving pool with the result per week determined by people vote. Vernon Kay and gabby Logan demonstrate the show, whilst Team GB Olympic Bronze Medal winning director Tom Daley may be the expert mentor into the celebrities. It's filmed at the Inspire: Luton Sports Village, which is located in Stopsley, Luton. The show premiered on ITV on Saturday 5 January 2013 winning the ratings battle for its 7.15pm-8.15pm slot using an average crowd of 5.6 million viewers, a network share of 23.6%.
Splash was the highest evaluation entertainment show on ITV for five decades.
The structure for the show originated from the Celebrity Splash! Franchise created by tv production company Eyeworks from holland, and was broadcast as Sterren Springen Op Zaterdag on SBS 6. Even a US version, from Pasadena's Rose Bowl Aquatics Center on ABC television and the Riverside Aquatics Complex at Riverside City College, premiered on 19 beneath the name Splash. The US version features diving legend Greg Louganis as judges and 2012 Olympic 10 m diving champion David Boudia. Celebrity Splash has been commissioned by the Seven Network in Australia! That can broadcast in 2013.
