Tatau

Tatau follows Budgie and Kyle, two twenty-something friends from London that place off to travel the entire world. Ahead of this journey, Kyle understands a tattoo to observe their destination: the Cook Islands. Kyle finds out the dead body of a local girl, Aumea, tied underwater up when snorkeling in a lagoon. Returning to the lagoon with law enforcement, Kyle finds her corpse has disappeared. However, Kyle knows exactly what he watched. Struggling to discover exactly what happened, Kyle and Budgie find themselves squeezed deeper and deeper into a world of Maori myths, logos, and hallucinatory visions... until finally the full meaning of Kyle's tattoo is disclosed.
