Thomas & Friends

Friends & thomas is a children's television show, which had its first broadcast on the ITV network on 4 September 1984. It's based on The Railway Series of books by the Reverend Wilbert Awdry along with also his son, Christopher Awdry. These novels deal with road vehicles who live on the fictional Island of Sodor and the adventures of a group of anthropomorphised locomotives. The novels were predicated on reports Wilbert told to amuse his son, Christopher during his recovery. By Series one to four, many of the stories are based on events out of Awdry experience.
