Ma-nim (Kim Jeong-ah-II) becomes a priest after her husband dies out of vomiting and she arrives at Bukgando to get remarried. Her husband is a wealthy and handsome man but he is murdered with a Japanese before she's a night with him. Ma-nim is at the huge house. Everybody else with the grandfather and her partner's side renders and servant named Bau are left behind. Ma-nim finds that Bau is now a method of staring at her and she's overcome by a feeling. She had to oppress her desires being a woman for her two marriages and identity that is strict. Bau had never made love with a woman before but she didn't mind his gaze. The both of them start a forbidden love behind grandfather's back...
