After almost drowning in a lake, Madison finds himself jumped into a life of fear. Unable to clarify what happened during the seconds she was underwater, she begins to build up hydrophobia: an abnormal fear of water. Madison attempts to close out the world but her fear awakens and she's confronted with the fantasy of a shadowy figure which destroys her day and nighttime. After watching her struggle for a single year with all dreams and all the jealousy, Madison's four friends attempt an intervention by which they unintentionally open a floodgate to a dark location where none are safe. It reaches out and starts exposing them they can never come back from Since Madison and her friends dive into the dark record of this figure which haunts them.
