First of the Summer Wine

Firstly the Summer Wine is a sitcom written. The pilot originally aired 3 January 1988, September 1988 and also the first set of episodes followed 4. The show ran together with the last episode airing on 8 October 1989. Gareth Gwenlan produced and directed the pilot episode. Mike Stephens produced and directed both set of episodes. Although repeats do appear on satellite channel Gold in the united kingdom, the BBC never shown repeats of the show. The show had been aired in Australia to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation network at early 1990s. Firstly the Summer Wine was a prequel into Clarke show, Last of the Summer Wine, portraying the characters' childhood leading up to World War II. With them hanging on, the youthful women and men love their childhood whilst looking for a place for themselves. With only two actors making an appearance at the prequel, the show used mostly unknown actors to play with the characters.
